Day 1 Arusha – Marangu – Rongai gate – Rongai Camp
After breakfast drive to Marangu gate for park fees payment and other legal formalities, then drive to Rongai gate near the Kenyan border. The trekking starts at Nalemoru through attractive forests which consist of a variety of wildlife animals such as Kilimanjaro Colubus Monkeys which are black with a long cape of white hair and white tail. While walking the forest gradually thin out till the edge of moorland zone where Rongai camp (2,600m) is located. Have rest and dinner and overnight. (3 – 4 hours walking)
Day 2 Rongai Camp – Kikelewa Camp
After early breakfast continue with the hike through the moorland zone towards the second cave (3,450m) with pleasant views of eastern ice fields on the crater rim. Have lunch and then continue with the hike across the moorland towards the jagged peaks of Mawenzi. Reach the Kikelewa camp (3,600m) for dinner and overnight (6 – 8 hours walking)
Day 3 Kikelewa camp – Mawenzi Tarn
After breakfast start a short though steep climb with pleasant views and a sense of wilderness after leaving the vegetation behind. Continue climbing until the Mawenzi Tarn camp (4,330m) is reached. This camp is situated in a cirque directly beneath the spires of Mawenzi. Have lunch and relax and later go for walking around for acclimatization purpose. (3 – 4 hours walking)
Day 4 Mawenzi Tarn – Kibo hut
After breakfast start trekking across the lunar of the saddle that lies between Mawenzi and Kibo, Continue walking until Kibo hut (4,700m) at the bottom of Kibo crater wall is reached. Have rest while preparing for the final moment to conquer the highest peak in Africa which will start at midnight. (5 – 6 hours walking)
Day 5 Kibo hut – Summit – Horombo hut
We will rise at midnight and after a light breakfast we are ready to go. This day’s climb will be quite difficult. At this height very few of us will not be suffering from altitude sickness in some form or another. We reach Gilman’s Point and have a look down the crater from there. Next we pass the Hans Meyer Cave. Along the crater it’s another two hours walk to the summit – you are very close to your goal and about to make an experience that will be with you for the rest of your life. After reaching Uhuru Peak, at 5895m, enjoy and take some photos before starting the decent to Horombo Hut. We will have trekked a total of 12-13 hours and be back at 3,720m at the end of the day. 
Day 6 Horombo hut – Marangu gate – Arusha
The trail down through the rainforest seems familiar because we came up that way. We’ll have our last farewell-lunch together on the mountain before coming back to the gate. There you will be rewarded with a certificate attesting your success at climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.There will be our car waiting for you and we’ll bring you back to the comforts of your hotel in Arusha
